Is this the best high note national anthem on trumpet? Comment down below.
Yes, the Best High Note National Anthem on Trumpet may be a matter of opinion, but this one is quite decent.
HONORING OUR HEROES AND PATRIOTS!
So, what do you think?
IS THIS THE BEST NATIONAL ANTHEM PERFORMANCE EVER????
ol yes this band deserves some thumbs down, but lol!!!! For being touted as one of the best schools for music and best jazz bands NOTHING could be further from the truth! I would certainly and easily pit my own college jazz band up against this UNT ONE O' CLOCK LAB BAND for the simple reason? They got NO power lead trumpet!!! As you have heard and likely why you gave this a thumbs down, the lead player BLASTS out High C's thru F's, but has no POWER LEAD ABILITIES ( double G through double D).
The entire time I was there with this band ( their best), I felt I was listening to a fast freddy hubbard or clifford brown jazz transcription.....
So, how can i go to a school where I PLAY BETTER than the FACULTY ??? i WAS highly ......
http://www.trumpetsizzle.com/Lead-Tru... First things first: Maynard was and still is my Trumpet Idol! Many can hear the essence of Maynard in my own playing style! That said, Maynard was not PERFECT nor was he an ANGEL! Time after time year after year, I receive negative feedback, comments, emails, etc from people saying I am too cocky, confrontational, flamboyant, self absorbed, arrogant and that I should strive to be more like Maynard Ferguson. These idiots don't KNOW the real Maynard Ferguson. They only know and consider Maynard Ferguson from age 60 until his death and YES, he was gentle, giving, kind and not very competitive during this last decade and a half. BUT FOLKS!!!! At age 30, 40, 50 Maynard was a hard core partier, ......
EVOLUTION OF THE 16 WEEK BRASS UPPER REGISTER COURSE:
9-10 years ago, I had accumulated approximately 35-40 powerful and potent range building techniques. 3/4 of which were my own proprietary techniques...the rest of the techniques were my version of mainstream routines and techniques i.e. Gordon, Caruso, Stevens, Adam, etc...
THE GOOD/THE BAD: Back then, I would teach all 35 techniques in a 2-3 hour afternoon or evening mega lesson. I charged $275.
Although the techniques are awesome and were awesome then, not everybody was getting amazing results. It was hit or miss so some students followed up with me weeks later not too happy or some...even playing worse.
